Temporary Assignment of Higher Duties (TAHD) for Less Than 30 Days
A manager may temporarily assign new or additional duties to an employee in their position or another position for a period not to exceed 30 consecutive calendar days.
As part of the 2016-2022 SGEU Collective Bargaining Agreement, we are implementing changes to the rate of pay and time frame for Temporary Assignment of Higher Duties (TAHD).

Temporary Performance of Higher Duties for Less Than 90 Days (CUPE)
An employee may be eligible to receive TPHD when management has assigned them to perform the duties of a position within a class having a higher maximum hourly rate of pay.
Employees claiming TPHD should complete the TAHD Less Than 90 Days Request for Payment Form.

Temporary Substitution (Out-of-Scope)
An employee may be eligible for Temporary Substitution if they are assigned additional duties.
Out-of-scope employees claiming Temporary Substitution should complete the Out-of-Scope Temporary Substitution Request for Payment Form.
