Contractor Criminal Record Check
As a condition of accessing certain government facilities to provide their services, contractors must provide a criminal record check for their employees requiring access to government buildings. Learn about the process for these individuals to obtain and provide their criminal record check.
Contractors carrying out their contractual responsibilities to complete work at one or more government facilities must provide a criminal record check for their employees requiring access to government buildings.
Contractors provide a number of on-site services to government requiring criminal record checks, including cleaning and construction services.
As of January 25,2021, the process for these individuals to obtain and provide their criminal record checks will take place fully online. The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement has selected Sterling Backcheck as the exclusive vendor for criminal record checks. Criminal record checks obtained from other sources or online service providers will no longer be accepted.
Criminal Record Check application forms can be filled and submitted by these individuals through the Sterling Backcheck application. Please note, payment of the criminal record check is the responsibility of the applicant and will be required at the time of application.
Data submitted to the Sterling Backcheck application is provided directly to Sterling Backcheck, and is not stored or maintained in any Government of Saskatchewan systems.
