Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a set of technologies that use large volumes of data and machine learning techniques to produce content based on user inputs, known as prompts. These tools can generate text, images, audio and more.
Before using generative AI tools that are available on the internet, it's important to review the guidelines. These guidelines offer good practices and advice on how to use generative AI tools securely and responsibly. They emphasize the importance of managing information securely and limiting data use and sharing on unauthorized third-party applications.
Additionally, employees should review policies related to access and privacy, as well as security policies such as the User Acceptable Usage Policy, Security Compliance Policy, Asset Management Policy, and Information Protection Guidelines. This ensures that the use of generative AI aligns with the Government of Saskatchewan's policies.
