Services for Managers
Manager Consultation
Managers and supervisors will have access to Manager Consultation, a professional counselling support. Professional counsellors are trained to help with managing workplace issues such as difficult behaviours, approaching difficult conversations with employees, supporting employees through periods of change and techniques to manage stress.
Workplace Critical Incident Support
Workplaces impacted by a critical incident can contact the EFAP service provider for support from trauma trained professional counsellors. Critical incidents may include workplace accidents, unexpected loss of life, serious injuries, natural disasters and physical violence. Managers can contact EFAP at 1-833 399-3418 to discuss appropriate supports based on the situation, including the option for a timely virtual session. Critical incident support is offered to ministries for a fee.
Workplace Learning
The EFAP offers Health and Wellness Seminars for workplace learning. Any fees incurred for workplace learning sessions are charged to the requesting ministry.
Providing Feedback on Your Experience
If an employee wishes to discuss a personal EFAP experience, a confidential EFAP Concern Resolution Process is in place to do so. Following the EFAP provider's investigation into the employee’s concern, the employee can opt in or out of a follow up discussion with the EFAP provider.
Supervisors/managers should make employees aware of the process and direct employees to this formal process, as needed. Review the Conversation Guide for Managers: Employee Concerns with the EFAP to help provide a supportive conversation to an employee with an EFAP concern.
If you have a question or an experience to share regarding EFAP services, you can contact the Government of Saskatchewan EFAP management team's confidential email at efap@gov.sk.ca or voicemail at 306-787-7567. The team can provide assistance with the EFAP Concern Resolution Process.
